November 11-14, 2010
National Association for Gifted Children Convention
Atlanta, Georgia

Great minds will lead the way when NAGC hosts the largest annual convention devoted to gifted learners here in Atlanta, November 11-14, 2010. Classroom teachers, gifted/talented coordinators, school administrators, researchers, parents, college and university faculty, and more, will converge for the 57th Annual NAGC Convention. Throughout the pre-convention events, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, exhibit hall, general sessions and networking events (both formal and informal!), you will witness the power of diverse viewpoints -- from the field and from the classroom -- coming together to make learning and life a challenging and rewarding experience for our nation's gifted learners.
The support network that serves our nation's high-ability students has been shaped by great minds, both directly and indirectly. Torrance. Frasier. Hollingworth. Feldhusen. Stanley. We follow in their footsteps as we continue the journey to ensure that every child - including the gifted and talented -learns something new every day.
Sometimes a person's achievements are so extraordinary, they shape generations to come. Join us as we celebrate these great minds, past, present, and future.
At no other time in our history has it been more important to recognize and develop talent -- our current and next generation's -- and to honor the pioneers of change that have brought us this far.

Georgia Group Discounts to the NAGC Convention!
The National Association for Gifted Children is hosting the largest annual event dedicated to supporting the needs of gifted learners this fall here in Georgia, November 11-13th in Atlanta. In tough economic times it becomes more difficult for teachers and administrative staff to take advantage of valuable professional development opportunities like these. NAGC has been working with GAGC to provide creative solutions, including special group discount rates for attendees from Georgia and Alabama.
We are excited to share with you the application form, which details the deep discounts available area teachers who sign up before September 10th. Discount rates start for groups as small as 5, but the larger the group, the larger the discount! See the registration form for more information, but here are a couple of tips:
- Please use a separate registration form for each attendee in your group and submit forms together, with a master list of names included in your group.
- All forms in your group should have the same “Name of Group” on page 1 of the registration form (name of school, district, county etc.).
- You can form a group in your school or coordinate with other teachers and administrators in your county. Just make sure that all “Name of Group” entries on all of your registrants’ forms are identical and all forms are submitted together.
- If your group will needs to use multiple payment methods (POs from different schools, for example), or registration forms can not all be sent together, please notify Nicole Daniel at NAGC (ndaniel@nagc.org or 202-621-5772).
- Online registration for this special discount rate is not available. Please mail your forms together to NAGC at the address on the registration form.
- If you have additional questions, feel free to contact Nicole Daniel at NAGC (ndaniel@nagc.org or 202-621-5772).
We hope to see you in Atlanta in November!
